Kia expands GT performance label with three new electric models

Kia is expanding its GT performance label in Europe by introducing three new electric models: the EV3 GT, EV4 GT, and EV5 GT. These additions join the existing EV6 GT and EV9 GT in the brand’s high-performance lineup.

The new models feature varying power outputs. The EV3 GT and EV4 GT both deliver 292 hp with all-wheel drive, achieving 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 and 5.6 seconds, respectively. The EV5 GT produces approximately 302 to 306 hp, reaching 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds. All three new models utilize an 81.4 kWh battery based on Hyundai’s E-GMP architecture.

To enhance the driving experience, the GT versions include stiffer springs, tighter suspension tuning, and specialized stabilizer bars. A dedicated ‘GT Mode’ is available to prioritize cornering performance and road connection over comfort. Pablo Martinez Masip, Vice President of Product Marketing and Customer Service at Kia Europe, stated that these models aim to make electric driving more responsive and emotionally engaging while maintaining daily usability.
