Kia launches 7‑seat electric PV5 Passenger van in Italy

Kia has expanded its Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) range with the PV5 Passenger, a fully electric van that seats seven passengers in a 2‑2‑3 layout. Built on the E‑GMP platform, the vehicle offers a WLTP‑approved range of more than 390 km and can be charged from 10 % to 80 % in under 30 minutes using a 150 kW DC rapid charger. The low floor height of 399 mm, sliding side doors and a modular interior allow easy access to the second and third rows, while cargo space measures 318 L (785 L with the third row folded).

The PV5 Passenger is targeted at family use as well as professional services such as taxis, airport shuttles and shared‑mobility fleets. It includes Vehicle‑to‑Load (V2L) capability, a 12‑inch infotainment screen, a 7.5‑inch digital instrument cluster and supports over‑the‑air updates. Kia Charge provides access to roughly one million charging points across 27 European countries. Erhan Eren, Director of PBV for Kia Europe, said, “We are excited to allow more passengers to enjoy the Kia PV5, which will be available with three rows of seats. This versatile vehicle expands the value proposition of the PV5 in its segment.”
