Kia launches 7‑seat PV5 electric van in Europe

Kia has expanded its PV5 passenger van lineup with a seven‑seat version built on the E‑GMP.S platform. The new layout follows a 2+2+3 configuration, offering 318 L of luggage space with all seats up and up to 785 L when the third row is folded. legroom reaches 1,041 mm and headroom 1,076 mm thanks to the flat‑floor architecture.

The vehicle is powered by a single front‑motor electric drivetrain rated at 163 hp and 250 Nm, paired with a 71.2 kWh battery that Kia estimates will give a range of about 390‑400 km on a single charge. A smaller 51.5 kWh pack is also offered on lower‑output versions, delivering roughly 275 km of range. Fast charging lifts the state of charge from 10 % to 80 % in under 30 minutes, and the system supports Vehicle‑to‑Load for external power supply.

The seven‑seat PV5 is slated for market entry in October, with pricing details to follow. It targets families and shuttle‑bus operators seeking a practical electric MPV, positioning itself against rivals such as the Volkswagen ID. Buzz.
