Kia launches EV2 Long Range electric SUV in Italy

Kia has officially launched the Kia EV2 Long Range in the Italian market. This compact electric B-SUV is built on the 400V E-GMP platform and features a 61 kWh battery, offering a WLTP combined range of up to 453 km and an urban range of up to 670 km. The vehicle supports fast DC charging, allowing a 10% to 80% charge in approximately 30 minutes using a 350 kW station. It also includes Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technologies.

In Italy, the EV2 Long Range is available in four trim levels, with prices starting at €33,350 for the Air version and reaching €43,850 for the top-tier Black-Line trim. Other available trims include Earth and GT-Line.

The compact electric crossover segment is seeing increased competition, with the Kia EV3 and the upcoming Audi A2 e-tron positioned as key players. While the Audi A2 e-tron focuses on aerodynamic efficiency with a drag coefficient of 0.24, the Kia EV3 emphasizes a balance of price, space, and range.
