Kia launches updated Niro hybrid SUV in Europe and Brazil
Kia began selling a modernised second‑generation Niro in the Czech Republic, offering a redesigned compact crossover with new infotainment, expanded driver‑assist systems and richer equipment. The model is now available only as a conventional hybrid that pairs a 1.6 L GDI gasoline engine with an electric motor, starting at 714,980 CZK. Kia says the hybrid system remains a key part of its strategy, noting that the Niro has sold 630,000 units globally since its 2016 debut, with the hybrid variant being the most popular.
The mid‑cycle refresh, marketed as the 2026 Niro, also reaches Brazil, featuring a new “Opposites United” design language, vertical front headlights, revamped bumpers and dual 12.3‑inch screens for the instrument cluster and infotainment. Kia retains hybrid, plug‑in hybrid and fully electric options, with the conventional hybrid offered in European markets. In Brazil the EX trim is priced at 194,990 BRL and the SX Prestige at 219,990 BRL, both with promotional discounts.
