Kia Motors expands EV6 range to over 500 km and broadens PV5 lineup

Kia announced that its EV6 electric sedan will now achieve a 1‑charge driving range of up to 502 km, an increase from the previous 494 km, and will include new safety features such as a tailgate emergency lamp and pedal‑misoperation assistance across all trims.

The company also expanded its commercial‑vehicle range, adding five new PV5 models—Prime, 5‑seat and 7‑seat passenger versions, a compact cargo variant and a chassis‑cap donor—bringing the total PV5 family to ten distinct configurations for passenger transport, logistics and special‑purpose builds.

To encourage adoption, Kia introduced a suite of customer‑centric solutions: a 100,000‑won EV‑Change subsidy for internal‑combustion owners switching to EVs, low‑interest 0.8 % financing for EV3/EV4, up‑to‑1.4 million‑won trade‑in credits, and a deferred‑payment plan covering up to 60 % of vehicle price. A proactive vehicle‑diagnostics system will be piloted for commercial customers, and a home‑test‑drive program in Seoul‑area apartments, partnered with GS ChargEV, will offer residents trial drives and charging credits.
