Kia expands PV5 electric van lineup with new cargo, passenger and 7‑seat models and global pricing

Kia has opened orders for its PV5 electric pickup in South Korea, priced from 43.45 million won (≈ $30,000) after subsidies. The PV5 family, built on the Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) modular architecture, now includes three new body styles unveiled at the Busan International Mobility Show: a 7‑seat passenger version, a Premium Passenger variant, and a high‑roof cargo model. Additional market‑specific versions have been introduced: a short‑wheelbase L1H1 cargo van for urban use in Germany starting at €36,000, and a shorter “L” configuration in Canada priced from $46,744 (Basic) to $49,095 (Plus), both eligible for Canada’s EV Affordability Program rebates.

The van offers multiple battery options—43.3 kWh entry, 51.5 kWh, and 71.2 kWh—delivering ranges from 232 km to up to 416 km depending on the model. Features include V2L power supply, advanced driver‑assistance systems, a 12.9‑inch infotainment screen, and optional premium amenities such as heated seats and wireless charging. In Greece the PV5 Cargo is priced at €35,290 after incentives, while in the United States the vehicle has been recognized as the 2026 International Van of the Year. Kia plans further expansions, including a 5‑seat taxi version and a larger PBV model (PV7) slated for 2027.
