Kia PV5 electric van gains UK grant eligibility and Japanese test-drive event

Kia's PV5 electric van is expanding its market presence through new pricing incentives in the UK and promotional test-drive events in Japan.

In the United Kingdom, the 7-seat PV5 Passenger has become eligible for the Government Electric Car Grant (ECG). This eligibility reduces the starting price of the Essential LR HP trim to £35,495 ($47,000). The vehicle features a 71.2 kWh battery providing up to 246 miles of WLTP range and supports 150 kW DC fast charging.

In Japan, authorized Kia PBV dealer Toy Factory will host a test-drive event for the PV5 Passenger at Sagamiko MORI MORI on October 24-25, 2026. The event aims to allow potential customers to experience the vehicle's driving performance and utility in a natural setting. Toy Factory has also developed a specialized bed kit for the PV5 to enhance its suitability for outdoor activities and camping.
