Kia PV5 electric van tops European sales in first half of 2026
Kia’s PV5 electric van recorded 13,116 registrations in Europe during the first six months of 2026, capturing about 37 % of the battery‑electric C‑segment market. The model was the best‑selling electric light‑commercial vehicle in twelve European countries, led by Germany (2,206 units) and the United Kingdom (3,361 units).
In addition to its electric‑segment dominance, the PV5 was the overall top seller in the C‑segment in Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden when all power‑train types are considered. Its market share exceeded 50 % in several markets – 63 % in Denmark, 62 % in Ireland, 59 % in Sweden, 58 % in Finland and 54 % in the United Kingdom.
Kia Europe’s chief operating officer Sjoerd Knipping highlighted the van’s integrated software, services and modular design as key to its rapid uptake. The PV5 also set a Guinness World Record for efficiency, completing a 693‑km run on a single charge, and its passenger version achieved 420 km in an independent test in Norway.
