Kia PV5 LightCamp electric camper van moves to production

Dutch conversion specialist Vantrack has announced that its LightCamp kit, built on Kia’s all‑electric PV5 platform, will go into series production after a successful prototype shown at the Campervan Days event in the Netherlands. The kit transforms the PV5 passenger van into a premium camper with a modular interior that includes an induction cooktop, an 11‑litre fresh‑water tank, an 18‑litre insulated cooler, a slide‑out 130 × 190 cm bed, and a ZELT hard‑shell rooftop tent accessed through a panoramic “Skylight” roof hatch. Additional features are cargo rails, a 195‑litre rear storage rack and a Euro‑crate‑compatible drawer. The PV5 offers about 412 km of range and can charge from 10 % to 80 80 % in 30 minutes, with V2L capability for external devices. Vantrack prices the fully converted LightCamp at €65,000, roughly €25,000 more than the base PV5, and expects first deliveries in September.
