Kia PV5 Passenger EV gets dedicated camping bed kit in Japan
Toy Factory, a Japanese camper‑conversion company, announced it will sell a dedicated bed kit for Kia's PV5 Passenger electric minivan. The kit is the first product under its new official Kia PBV (Platform Beyond Vehicle) dealer agreement signed in May 2026.
The kit creates a double‑size sleeping area (1,850 mm × 1,400 mm) that fits two adults, uses split seat‑mat sections for easy handling, and includes a large luggage compartment that remains accessible while the bed is deployed. Optional materials include traditional “Boso‑woven” fabric and premium suede, and a matching wood‑grain exterior decal is offered.
Pricing in Japan starts at ¥330,000 for the fabric version and ¥341,000 for the premium suede version; a complete package with luggage furniture, side boards and a cup table is offered at ¥561,330 after a 10 % discount. The kit will be displayed at the Tokyo Camping Car Show 2026 in early July.
