KBO Playoff Game 1 postponed due to rain in Daegu
The first game of the 2026 KBO League playoff between the Samsung Lions and KIA Tigers has been postponed due to rain at Daegu Samsung Lions Park. The cancellation, announced by the KBO around 12:10 PM on October 25, follows weather disturbances caused by Typhoon Champy affecting the southern regions of South Korea.
The rescheduled match is set to take place on October 26 at 6:30 PM at the same venue. Both teams have decided to maintain their original starting pitchers: Chris Fedde for Samsung and James Naill for KIA.
For Samsung, the delay provides additional recovery time for key player Koo Ja-wook, who has been managing a hamstring injury. For KIA, the postponement offers extra rest following their recent semi-playoff series, potentially helping to mitigate fatigue.
