Kia to launch Sorento Hybrid SUV in India on September 4

Kia India has confirmed the launch of the Sorento Hybrid SUV in the Indian market on September 4, 2026. This model marks the brand’s entry into the strong hybrid segment in the country and will introduce All-Wheel Drive (AWD) to its internal combustion engine lineup.

The vehicle is expected to feature a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol strong hybrid powertrain, delivering an estimated 238-241 bhp and 380 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Additionally, a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine option is anticipated.

A notable technological feature is the inclusion of Live Gen AI, an in-car assistant designed to provide intelligent conversational capabilities and voice control via natural language commands. Pre-bookings for the Sorento Hybrid are currently open.
