Kia Syros EV to debut in India with Rs 14‑18 lakh price and up to 520 km range

Kia is set to launch its most affordable electric SUV, the Syros EV, in India on July 23 2026. The model will be offered with two battery packs – a 42 kWh unit delivering an estimated 404‑443 km (ARAI) range and a 51.4 kWh unit claimed to reach up to 520 km on a single charge. Pricing is expected between Rs 14 lakh and Rs 18 lakh, positioning the Syros EV against rivals such as the Tata Nexon EV, MG Windsor EV and Mahindra XUV 3XO.

Leak photos and a recent spy shot in Bangalore confirm that the EV retains the ICE Syros’s overall shape, with 17‑inch wheels, a front‑left charging port and subtle EV‑specific colour options. Inside, the cabin will mirror the petrol version, featuring dual 12.3‑inch displays, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, a 360‑degree camera and a Harman Kardon sound system. Safety equipment is reported to include six airbags, electronic stability control, parking sensors and Level‑2 driver‑assist functions. The vehicle will support DC fast charging, AC home charging and vehicle‑to‑load (V2L) and vehicle‑to‑vehicle (V2V) power sharing.

These specifications aim to make the Syros EV a strong contender in India’s sub‑compact electric SUV segment, offering a blend of premium features and a competitive price point for first‑time EV buyers.
