Kia unveils electric PV5 Cargo vans with high‑roof model and record 693 km range
Kia introduced two new versions of its electric PV5 Cargo van at the 2026 Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham. The High Roof model (L2H2) is 4.70 m long, 2.21 m high and offers more than 5 m³ of cargo space, while the Standard model (L1H1) is 4.50 m long, 1.90 m high and provides about 4 m³ of load volume. Both variants use the E‑GMP platform, are available with 51.5 kWh or 71.2 kWh batteries, and deliver WLTP ranges of up to 416 km, with the High Roof achieving around 370 km and the Standard about 400 km.
In real‑world testing the PV5 Cargo set a Guinness World Record by traveling 693.38 km on a single charge while carrying its maximum payload. The vehicle’s design limits the impact of added weight to roughly 1.5 % of range per 100 kg, offering predictability for fleet operators. The launch expands Kia’s electric commercial lineup and targets urban logistics, last‑mile delivery and specialized transport applications.
