Kia unveils PV7 electric commercial van at IAA Transportation

Kia has unveiled the PV7, the second model in its dedicated electric Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) lineup, at the IAA Transportation show in Hannover, Germany. Built from the ground up as a commercial vehicle rather than a converted combustion model, the PV7 utilizes the modular E-GMP.S electric platform.

The vehicle is available in two distinct configurations: a cargo version for logistics and a passenger version featuring flexible seating. Designed with a flat floor to maximize interior space, the PV7 features an 800-volt architecture for faster charging and offers a WLTP range of over 460 km.

Kia plans to launch the PV7 in South Korea and Europe in 2027, with an Australian release scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2027. The model aims to serve diverse sectors including fleet management, logistics, and small-to-medium enterprises.
