Kia unveils PV7 electric commercial vehicle

Kia has unveiled the PV7, the second model in its all-electric Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) series, at the IAA Transportation show in Hannover. Designed for both cargo and passenger use, the PV7 is intended to serve logistics fleets, shuttle services, and small to medium-sized enterprises.

Built on the dedicated E-GMP.S architecture, the PV7 features an 800V system that enables rapid charging, with the ability to charge from 10% to 80% in approximately 20 to 25 minutes. The vehicle will offer two battery capacities: 71.5 kWh and 96.2 kWh, providing estimated ranges of 360 km and 450-460 km respectively.

The PV7 is available in multiple configurations, including different lengths and heights. The long-range cargo version can provide up to 6.1 cubic meters of loading volume in its long variant, or up to 8 cubic meters in the high-roof version. The vehicle also introduces Pleos Connect, a system based on Android Automotive OS, to support fleet connectivity. The PV7 is expected to launch in Korea and Europe during the second half of 2027.
