Collegium Humanum investigation: 11 people detained by CBA and Border Guard
Authorities have conducted a major operation in the ongoing Collegium Humanum investigation. On Tuesday, September 29, officers from the Central Anticorruption Bureau (CBA) and the Border Guard detained 11 individuals as part of a multi-faceted probe into diploma fraud and money laundering.
According to Jacek Dobrzyński, spokesperson for the Minister Coordinator of Special Services, six of those detained currently hold or previously held high-ranking positions at two private universities. The investigation, which has been active since 2022, is expanding to cover 26 different educational institutions.
To date, the investigation has resulted in 475 charges being brought against 83 individuals, including high-profile figures such as the Mayor of Wrocław and former members of the European Parliament. Prosecutors have secured assets exceeding 176 million PLN and nearly 600,000 EUR as part of the proceedings.
