Kifisia and Marousi robbery gang members arrested

Two youths, aged 17 and 19, have been arrested by the Hellenic Police for operating a robbery gang in the Kifisia and Marousi areas. The group specifically targeted elderly women, using violence to snatch gold jewelry, such as necklaces, from their necks.

Video footage released by MEGA shows the suspects ambushing an elderly woman in the middle of the street, knocking her to the ground to steal her valuables. Police investigations have linked the duo to at least six similar robberies.

The suspects were apprehended on the night of September 23 after refusing to comply with police orders during a patrol in Kifisia. They have been charged with forming a criminal organization, habitual robbery, and disobedience. Both individuals have been remanded in custody by order of the prosecutor. Authorities are currently searching for a third identified accomplice.
