Kiiraay Les Patriotes Républicains holds first winter university in Dakar

The political party Kiiraay Les Patriotes Républicains held its first winter university at the King Fahd Palace in Dakar on October 3, 2026. Organized as a think tank event, the gathering aimed to define the party's doctrine and organizational structure under the leadership of President Bassirou Diomaye Faye.

During the event, several key political and developmental strategies were presented. Minister Moussa Bala Fofana outlined five levers to achieve territorial equity in Senegal, focusing on decentralization, public service access, and equitable financing. Minister Alain Diouf highlighted reforms within the ‘Senegal 2050’ national transformation agenda, including updates to tax and investment codes and social support for vulnerable households.

The party leadership, including Aminata Touré, emphasized strict adherence to the Constitution and set an electoral goal of winning 80% of communes by 2027. The conclusions of the discussions are expected to be compiled into a white paper for President Faye to help formalize the party's long-term political direction.
