Kiiraay Les Patriotes Républicains targets Matam for political expansion

The political party Kiiraay Les Patriotes Républicains is launching an expansion strategy in northern Senegal, specifically targeting the Matam department and the Fouta region.

During its first in-person general assembly in Matam, party leaders from ten municipalities announced plans to build a solid local presence to challenge existing political dynamics. The party aims to establish influence in areas traditionally considered strongholds for the Alliance pour la République (APR) and to compete with the progression of Pastef in the region.

In a related development, a political figure announced their formal membership in Kiiraay Les Patriotes Républicains following an audience with President Bassirou Diomaye Faye. The individual expressed a commitment to driving investment and decision-making in the Kanel and Matam areas to ensure the territory moves beyond being merely a site for electoral mobilization.
