Kiiraay party appoints new communication and strategy heads

The Kiiraay party, led by President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, has appointed two new leaders to its Strategy and Communication division. Assane Diouf has been named Coordinator of Communication and Press Relations, tasked with managing internal and external communications and maintaining professional relationships with journalists.

Dr. Amadou Wagne has been appointed Coordinator of Strategy. His role involves coordinating the development and application of party strategy, analyzing political developments, and advising party leadership. These appointments, formalized in circulars signed by Deputy General Supervisor Dr. El Hadji Abdourahmane Diouf, mark the first public administrative acts of this division.

The Kiiraay party, which uses the slogan ‘La patrie d’abord’ (Country First), was formed through the merger of the former Awalé party and other groups. The organizational restructuring aims to prepare the movement for upcoming political milestones, including local elections, the 2027 legislative elections, and the 2029 presidential election.
