Kimi Antonelli takes Monaco pole as Ferrari targets strong race

Nineteen‑year‑old rookie Kimi Antonelli secured pole position for the Monaco Grand Prix, becoming only the second Italian to do so after Jarno Trulli in 2004. He edged out Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc by the narrowest margins, delivering his fourth pole of the season.

Ferrari qualified on the second row, with Charles Leclerc fastest in the first practice session and Hamilton topping the second. Team boss Fred Vasseur was briefly hospitalized for medical checks but remained in observation. The team hopes to convert the strong qualifying showing into a competitive race weekend.
