King Charles III to tour Caribbean this fall

King Charles III and Queen Camilla are scheduled to conduct an autumn tour of the Caribbean from October 27 to November 4, 2026. The itinerary includes visits to The Bahamas, Guyana, and Antigua and Barbuda, where the royal couple will attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.

The visit to Guyana is particularly significant as it marks 60 years of bilateral relations between the United Kingdom and Guyana. Economic ties between the two nations have grown substantially, with bilateral trade increasing from £587 million in 2020 to £1.64 billion in 2024.

Prior to the royal tour, a Jamaican government delegation is set to travel to the United Kingdom on September 6 to formally petition King Charles III regarding slavery reparations. The petition requests that the King, in his capacity as Jamaica’s head of state, refer legal questions concerning the legality of historical enslavement to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.
