King Charles III Caribbean tour

Overview

King Charles III and Queen Camilla are scheduled to conduct an autumn tour of the Caribbean from October 27 to November 4, 2026. The itinerary includes visits to The Bahamas, Antigua and Barbuda, and Guyana. During the visit to Antigua and Barbuda, the royal couple will attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.

In preparation for the tour, a Jamaican government delegation is scheduled to travel to the United Kingdom on September 6. The delegation plans to formally petition the King to refer legal questions regarding the legality of the forced transportation and enslavement of Africans in Jamaica to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council. This petition coincides with the anniversary of the 1781 departure of the Zong slave ship.
