Kino Lumière hosts Šary Vary film showcase in Bratislava
From 14 to 16 July 2026, Kino Lumière in Bratislava will host the Šary Vary selection, presenting six standout films from the 60th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. The programme opens with the world‑premiere of director‑producer Ivan Ostrochovský’s drama Prameň, which examines the forced sterilisation of Romani women in 1980s Czechoslovakia. The line‑up also includes award‑winning titles such as Fernanda Eimbck’s Muchy, Sandra Wollner’s Navždy, Jane Schoenbrun’s Sex a smrť v kempe Miasma, the German‑Austrian historical drama Rose, and Pedro Almodóvar’s Trpké Vianoce. After the three‑day showcase, a special screening and Q&A with Ostrochovský is scheduled for 20 July at 19:30.
