Kiril Veselinski leaves MECH party leadership

Kiril Veselinski, the former head of the MECH party's parliamentary group in the 51st National Assembly, has officially announced his departure from the party and all its leadership bodies. Veselinski stated his decision was made after deep reflection and emphasized that he is leaving with a “clean heart and conscience.”

His resignation occurs during a critical period for MECH, shortly after party leader Radostin Vasilev announced his candidacy for the presidency, selecting Krassimir Manov as his running mate. Veselinski expressed his continued opposition to corruption and what he described as the “Peevski-Borisov robbery model,” vowing to fight for democracy and integrity in Bulgaria.

The departure follows recent internal controversies within the party, including allegations regarding the handling of parliamentary allowances and deputy expenses.
