Ambev, Pilgrim’s Pride, and Klabin report third-quarter results
Several major companies released third-quarter 2026 financial results, showing mixed performance across the beverage, food, and paper sectors.
Ambev reported a net profit of R$ 4.37 billion, exceeding analyst expectations despite a 10.2% year-on-year decline. The company’s adjusted net profit grew by 14.3% to R$ 4.393 billion, driven by EBITDA growth and lower net financial expenses. Organic net revenue rose 7.6% to R$ 21.595 billion. The board also approved a share buyback program for up to 190 million ordinary shares over the next 18 months.
Pilgrim’s Pride, a US-based food company controlled by JBS, saw its adjusted net profit fall to US$ 117.7 million, a significant decrease from the previous year. The company faced pressure from increased chicken supply in the United States, which drove down prices and squeezed operating margins. Adjusted EBITDA dropped 50% year-on-year to US$ 316.3 million.
Klabin reported a consolidated net profit of R$ 393 million, an 18% decrease compared to the same period in 2025. While net revenue grew 3% to R$ 5.566 billion, the company faced rising operational costs. These costs were attributed to inflation of inputs, industrial maintenance, and preventive measures against the El Niño climate phenomenon. Klabin’s adjusted EBITDA fell 12% to R$ 1.856 billion.
