Kladno and Žďár launch major street redevelopment projects
In Kladno, work on the long‑planned reconstruction of Hřebečská street began last week. The project, coordinated with a heat‑pipe refurbishment, will be carried out in two phases from June 2026 to October 2026. Temporary parking areas have been set up on a nearby lawn, and accessibility improvements for people with reduced mobility are a priority. The municipality has also arranged for container placement, lighting adjustments and changes to entrances for the residential complex META.
In Žďár, the town council is pushing a multi‑million‑crown transformation of the city centre. The plan aims to modernise streets, install new paving, upgrade lighting, improve water and sewage infrastructure, and enhance green spaces and accessibility. Officials stress the need for durable quality work to avoid costly repairs later, and the projects are being tendered publicly to achieve competitive pricing.
