Klanglicht festival expands to Vienna and Graz

The Klanglicht festival, which has been held in Graz since 2015, is expanding its light and sound art installations to Vienna. In Vienna, the exhibition ‘Klanglicht im Park’ will take place in the Schwarzenbergpark at Schloss Belvedere, featuring works by Austrian and international artists. Highlights include Luke Jerram’s ‘Museum of the Moon’, a seven-meter-diameter sculpture displaying NASA lunar imagery, and wire animal sculptures designed by architect Katja Paternoster.

In Graz, the festival at Schloss Eggenberg runs from October 23 to November 7, 2026, centered on the theme of ‘Time’. The program includes 14 artistic works and two additional stations. Notable installations include Daniel Rossa’s ‘Kadenzen’, which uses the castle facade for digital projections, and the Australian studio ENESS’s ‘Whispering Mountains’, which features inflatable, glowing mountain forms that use artificial intelligence to communicate thoughts.
