KM Virgo Transport 8 shipwreck search continues in Java Sea
Search and rescue operations for the KM Virgo Transport 8, which capsized in the Java Sea, continue amid significant challenges. As of late September 2026, the death toll has reached 71, with 108 survivors and 64 people still missing from the original manifest of 243 passengers and crew.
