Knights acquires THP Solicitors to expand Thames Valley presence

Law firm Knights has announced the acquisition of Thames Valley-based THP Solicitors for £4 million. This marks the firm's 27th acquisition since going public and follows its recent expansion in the region through the acquisition of IBB Law.

The deal includes an upfront cash payment of £2.4 million, with the remaining balance to be paid in equal annual instalments over three years, subject to specific conditions. Upon completion, which is expected by September 25, 2026, approximately 30 fee-earners from THP will relocate to Knights’ Reading office, and THP’s existing offices in Reading and Henley will close.

Knights CEO David Beech described the move as a “compelling bolt-on” that will broaden the firm's full-service offering in a key regional market. THP partner Rachel Gaylor noted that joining Knights provides a platform for the next stage of growth, offering clients access to a wider range of expertise and resources.
