Knorr-Bremse launches unified digital platform for commercial vehicle OEMs

Knorr-Bremse has launched an expanded digital service platform for commercial vehicle original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), integrating software update management, compliance tools, and aftermarket diagnostics into a single cloud-based system.

The CVS Service Platform is designed to help manufacturers meet tightening UN ECE R155 and R156 regulations regarding cybersecurity and software update documentation. The company’s Software Update Management System (SUMS) is ISO 24089-certified and is already in series production. This system automates the reporting of software changes to manufacturers, removing the need for manual data submission from workshops.

Through a new partnership with Cojali, the platform includes the Cojali Digital Hub, which provides manufacturer-independent centralized software management and over-the-air updates. The offering also incorporates Jaltest telematics and diagnostics to provide multi-brand coverage. Additional applications on the platform, such as PleaseFix, WESP CV, and TRAVIS Road Services, aim to manage workshop productivity, scheduling, and digital access to repair and charging services.
