Knorr-Bremse digital technology expansion

Knorr-Bremse is expanding its digital technology offerings across the commercial vehicle and rail sectors.

In the commercial vehicle segment, the company launched the CVS Service Platform, a cloud-based system for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). This platform integrates software update management, compliance tools, and aftermarket diagnostics to help manufacturers meet UN ECE R155 and R156 cybersecurity and software documentation regulations. Through a partnership with Cojali, the platform provides centralized software management and over-the-air updates, alongside tools for workshop productivity and repair services.

In the rail sector, Knorr-Bremse signed a letter of intent with the China Academy of Railway Sciences (CARS) to establish the ‘China Freight Cooperation Program’. This partnership focuses on advancing digital rail solutions, including digital train architectures, predictive maintenance, condition monitoring for freight wagons, and digital automatic couplings. The initiative aims to support China’s strategy of shifting freight traffic to rail by improving the safety and efficiency of longer, heavier, and more intelligent freight trains.
