KnowBe4 expands Defend security protection to Google Workspace

KnowBe4 has announced the expansion of its Defend security solution to Google Workspace, scheduled for availability on September 15. The tool utilizes multi-engine behavioral AI models trained on 16 years of data and over 1.15 billion daily event signals to detect advanced threats.

The solution is specifically designed to identify risks that standard Google security controls may miss, including Business Email Compromise (BEC), zero-payload phishing, and prompt injection attacks. Beyond simple blocking, the platform provides real-time, contextual coaching by notifying recipients why a specific email was flagged as suspicious, turning potential incidents into security training moments.

Additionally, the software integrates with PhishER Plus to automate threat containment. Once a malicious email is confirmed, the system can search for and neutralize similar messages across all enterprise Gmail inboxes within two minutes, significantly reducing the manual workload for security operations centers.
