KNVB issues five-year stadium ban to 13-year-old pitch invader

The Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) has issued a five-year stadium ban to a 13-year-old fan following an incident during a Nations League match between the Netherlands and Germany in Amsterdam.

During the match, the teenager entered the pitch and accidentally nearly collided with Dutch player Tijjani Reijnders while slipping on the wet grass. After taking a selfie with the midfielder, the youth was apprehended by security personnel.

In addition to the ban, which prevents the individual from attending professional football matches in the Netherlands until they reach adulthood, the fan must pay a 100 euro fine. The KNVB also intends to seek civil damages from the boy's legal guardians to cover potential costs, such as sanctions imposed by UEFA.
