Ko Chih-en announces first major Kaohsiung campaign rally

Kuomintang Kaohsiung mayoral candidate Ko Chih-en has announced her first large-scale campaign rally, scheduled for September 19 in Fengshan. The event is intended to consolidate political support and showcase a 'North-South connection' by featuring prominent political figures from Taipei and New Taipei City.

Ko revealed that the rally will include guest speakers such as former Legislative Yuan President Wang Jin-pyng, Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an, and New Taipei City mayoral candidate Li Sichuan. She emphasized that choosing Fengshan, Kaohsiung’s largest administrative district, is a strategic move to build momentum rather than an attempt to replicate previous political trends.

During a press conference, Ko also introduced her campaign theme song, ‘World Kaohsiung,’ composed by local musician Wu Kun-long, and released limited-edition campaign merchandise including T-shirts, hats, and towels. The campaign aims to move away from traditional political confrontation in favor of a positive vision for the city.
