Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality cleans and secures Başiskele beach

The Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality continues its ongoing cleaning and maintenance work on the Başiskele shoreline. Teams from the Parks and Gardens Department regularly collect litter, waste, leaves, cigarette butts and invasive weed growth along the beach and its promenade.

Sidewalks and walking paths are swept, and public furniture such as benches and tables receive hygiene treatment. The effort aims to improve the aesthetic appearance of the popular social‑recreation area while enhancing safety for residents and visitors.

According to the municipality, the continuous upkeep helps keep Başiskele beach one of the most attractive and well‑maintained public spaces in the region.
