Kocaeli Municipality prepares parks and shrine for summer season

Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality intensified upkeep of Gebze Millet Bahçesi, a major green space visited daily by thousands, by accelerating lawn mowing, planting seasonal flowers, refreshing soil, and cleaning pools, restrooms and prayer rooms to ready the area for the summer months.

In parallel, the municipality carried out extensive cleaning and landscaping at Örcün Sultan Baba Türbesi in Gölcük, removing weeds, clearing debris, polishing the tomb interior and exterior, repairing fences and adding informational plaques about Ottoman graves. Ongoing periodic maintenance is planned for both sites to ensure a tidy, safe and attractive environment for residents and visitors.
