Aziziye district in Erzurum began a comprehensive clean‑up of abandoned structures and hazardous waste across 69 villages. Municipal teams cleared debris, dug up soil, and disposed of animal waste, aiming to raise living standards and transform every hamlet into a “pearl‑like” settlement, according to Mayor Emrullah Akpunar.

In Giresun’s Dereli district, residents used motor‑powered saws to cut through unusually persistent snow on high‑altitude roads in June, clearing a path for locals in the Karagöl plateau. The community effort reflects continued vigilance against weather‑related disruptions even in the summer months.
