Kochia plants attract attention with autumn colors in Japan
Autumn foliage and seasonal blooms are attracting attention across various locations in Japan. In the Iwafune district of Murakami City, Niigata Prefecture, the ‘Kochia no Sato’ has become a viral sensation on social media. The site features approximately 250 Kochia plants that have turned bright red. To enhance their appeal, the Iwafune Hanabatake Project has added decorative eyes to the plants, creating unique and adorable expressions that visitors find charming.
In Osaka, the Expo '70 Commemorative Park is also showcasing seasonal beauty. The park’s Kochia plants have reached a vibrant red peak, alongside fields of pink Muhlenbergia capillaris and various species of cosmos, including yellow and white varieties. These displays offer a seasonal landscape as the region transitions into autumn.
