Škoda Auto updates Slavia sedan for Indian market
Škoda Auto has introduced an updated version of the Slavia, a sedan built on the locally developed MQB-A0-IN platform and manufactured in India. The model has reached nearly 80,000 units sold to date and remains a top performer in its segment.
The update features a refined design, including new LED headlights and redesigned LED rear lights. Technological enhancements include a new eight-speed automatic transmission for the 1.0 TSI engine and segment-first features such as a rear seat massage function.
As part of Škoda’s ‘produced in India, for India’ strategy, the Slavia is also exported to growing markets in Vietnam, the Middle East, and Africa. This positioning reinforces India’s role as a major production pillar for the company outside of Europe.
