Karan Johar announces final season of Koffee With Karan

Filmmaker Karan Johar has announced that the ninth season of his celebrity talk show, ‘Koffee With Karan’, will be its final installment. The show, which premiered in 2004 and has spanned eight seasons and 161 episodes, is scheduled to premiere on JioHotstar on October 14.

Johar stated that the decision is emotional, noting that he intends to dedicate the next decade of his career to filmmaking and directing movies. He reflected on the show’s 22-year history, which included significant celebrity revelations and various controversies.

The final season is expected to feature a high-profile guest list, including Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Varun Dhawan. Reports suggest Salman Khan may open the season as a solo guest, while Shah Rukh Khan’s appearance marks a notable return to the program.
