Former WWE superstars Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed, now performing as the tag team ‘The New Level’, have made a high-profile debut in All Elite Wrestling (AEW). The duo debuted at the ‘All In’ event in London, where they teamed with Swerve Strickland to capture the AEW World Trios Championship. They successfully defended the titles on a recent episode of ‘AEW Dynamite’ against The Rascalz.

Reports indicate that the decision to leave WWE was influenced by a significant financial offer. Kingston stated that WWE proposed a contract restructure involving a pay cut of more than 50 percent. The team expressed that while compensation was a factor, the move was also driven by a desire to compete in an environment that appreciates their wrestling style.

Following their arrival, the team has already been linked to potential matches against ‘The Elite’, including The Young Bucks. Additionally, AEW veteran Trent Beretta resurfaced social media comments from 2013 criticizing Kingston, sparking discussion regarding locker room dynamics. Industry analysts suggest the veterans are likely signed to long-term deals with AEW.
