Koikeya launches new regional potato chip flavors in Japan

Koikeya Co., Ltd. is launching the second installment of its ‘Koikeya Pride Potato 100%’ series, featuring two new flavors: ‘Akaushi Garlic Soy Sauce (Kumamoto)’ and ‘Scallop Butter (Jomon).’ The new products utilize 100% domestic potatoes combined with regional Japanese ingredients, such as scallops from Aomori and butter from Hokkaido.

To celebrate the launch, the company is running a ‘100% Correct Answer Challenge’ campaign from September 16 to October 13, 2026. Participants who follow the official Koikeya X account and answer all quiz questions correctly on the special website will be entered into a lottery. Five winners will receive a total of 32 bags of potato chips, including the new flavors and four standard varieties.

The ‘Akaushi Garlic Soy Sauce’ and ‘Scallop Butter’ flavors will have an early release in convenience stores nationwide on September 21, 2026, followed by a wider release in supermarkets and other channels on October 12, 2026.
