Kokotek's Festival Życia youth celebration starts July 6

The ninth edition of the Festival Życia began on 6 July 2026 in the village of Kokotek, Poland, and will run through 12 July. Organized for young Catholics, the week‑long event combines worship, conferences, workshops and concerts. Highlights include a Mass led by Bishop Artur Ważny, a talk on science and faith by Dr Mariusz Gogól, and evening performances by bands such as Exodus 15 and 3 Dni 3 Noce. On Thursday the “Bieg Festiwalowicza” – an obstacle‑run through mud and water – is scheduled as the festival’s most visual attraction. Participants come from across Poland and abroad, staying in tents near a lake. Organiser Szymon Zmarlicki says the gathering “breaks all the patterns of Catholic events for youth.” The festival aims to renew participants’ relationship with God and the Church while offering a communal, recreational atmosphere.
