Kolinda Grabar Kitarović's Croatian‑flag shirt draws attention at IOC meeting

On 24 June, former Croatian president Kolinda Grabar Kitarović attended the 146th session of the International Olympic Committee in Lausanne, Switzerland. She chose a Louis Vuitton × Nigo Giant Damier shirt with a red‑white checker pattern that directly echoes Croatia’s national colours, a design she previously wore at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The limited‑edition piece is now listed on resale platforms for about €2,000.

Grabar Kitarović announced on Instagram that she will travel to the United States to support the Croatian football team at the World Cup, writing “Idemo Hrvatska!” and confirming she will be in Philadelphia. She also praised team captain Luka Modrić, calling him one of her favourite players.

The outfit attracted media notice for its blend of high‑fashion and national‑symbolic styling, highlighting the former president’s continued public profile during the tournament.
