Dotemu launches Blasterbug: Last Bug Standing! for free on Steam

Dotemu has announced the surprise launch of Blasterbug: Last Bug Standing!, a free-to-play arcade party game now available on Steam for PC. The title was unveiled during the Pixel Arcadia retro showcase.

The game features local multiplayer for up to eight players, where participants control various insect characters in shifting arenas. Players use special abilities and items, such as pomegranate grenades, to compete. There are five distinct game modes: Death Battle, Coin Battle, Crown Battle, Paint Battle, and Party Battle. The game includes 15 playable characters and 15 different arenas, such as Bugville and the Kitchen.

In addition to the free base game, Dotemu released a paid crossover expansion called the Absolum Pack. This DLC introduces the character Galandra, her signature sword and Necrotic Wave ability, and the Jaroba arena, all inspired by the game Absolum.
