Kongsberg to provide counter-drone capabilities for Dutch JLTVs
Kongsberg has signed a contract with Oshkosh Defense Europe to provide its PROTECTOR C-UAS solution integrated with RS4 remote weapon stations for the Dutch armed forces. These systems will be mounted on Oshkosh Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTVs) to enhance the ability of Dutch forces to detect, track, and neutralize unmanned aerial threats.
The equipment is intended for the Royal Netherlands Marine Corps as part of the FLATM-PV (Future Littoral All Terrain Mobility – Patrol Vehicle) programme. The Dutch Ministry of Defence previously ordered 150 JLTVs, which are expected to enter service starting in 2028 under the name ‘Kaaiman’.
The PROTECTOR C-UAS is described as a scalable networking solution that coordinates various sensors and weapons to defeat drone threats. The technology has previously been utilized by the US Marine Corps and in Ukraine.
