Konstanz–Radolfzell Rail Replacement for Bücklepark Sewer Connections

From Saturday 11 July to Sunday 12 July 2026, rail services between Konstanz and Radolfzell are suspended while new sewer connections are installed for the Bücklepark development. The project, commissioned by the city’s waste‑water operator (EBK), links 760 new apartments to the sewer system, requiring pipelines to be laid beneath the railway tracks.

Deutsche Bahn will operate bus replacement services on the affected S‑Bahn and regional lines, and trains will resume from Radolfzell to destinations such as Karlsruhe and Engen after the works. Concurrently, the Bodensee Radweg is closed from 6 to 17 July, with a detour in place, to accommodate the same construction activities.

The temporary measures aim to maintain commuter mobility while ensuring the new housing estate meets environmental standards for wastewater treatment.
